The aim of the tender activity is to source two cameras and then once the evaluation has been completed and the pricing received, for a third to be purchased at a later date. It does not need to be the same make and model for both cameras. The importance lies in functionality and ease-of-use. A streak camera is an instrument for measuring the variation in a pulse of light's intensity within a given time and in this instance will be used to measure the pulse duration of ultrafast laser systems. It will require a high dynamic range to enable STFC to improve their accuracy for measurements and diagnostics.
