The programme should use food to engage the community and improve the whole school experience, making lunchtimes a positive feature of the day and enriching classroom learning with farm visits, practical cooking and growing. The aim of the programme is to give schools the tools they need to make long term changes to their food culture and their curriculum to support healthy behaviours. The programme will be available to every school in Leicestershire. The contract is being offered for an initial period of 12 months, with the option to extend for up to a further 24 months.",
