This contract will provide services relating to the proper governance of a Local Government Pension Scheme including: 1. Preparation for, attendance at and participation in, meetings of the Essex Pension Fund Strategy Board, Essex Pension Fund Advisory Board and other meetings with Board Members and Fund officers; 2. Guidance on the proper governance and administration of the Fund; 3. Advice on best practice and compliance with requirement under relevant guidance, legislation and regulations; 4. Preparation and delivery of training and/or presentations to various forums; 5. Assistance to Fund officers in the development of governance and administration systems; 6. Provision of tools required to facilitate good governance subject to further agreement where required; 7. Reviewing in house administration systems where required; 8. Provision of advice on technical aspects of the LGPS where required; 9. Liaison with other professionals (actuary, legal advisers etc) where required; 10. An understanding of the implications of the LGPS Asset Pooling agenda.",
