The intention is to house these units in public spaces so they can be accessed freely by members of the public should an emergency occur. Wirral Council has approximately 45 AEDs across the Borough, with 14 located inside buildings. The aim of this contract is to increase the numbers of Community Public Access Defibrillators (CPADS) across football pitches and parks, and to relocate the AEDs currently located inside buildings to make them CPADS.
