The films are intended to document, preserve, and promote the house style and specialisms of each institution (and indeed, emphasise their distinctive characteristics and cultures), and although each short film will represent a discrete and complete micro narrative, taken together, the series will reveal the richness, multiplicity, and depth of expertise within British costume making more broadly and thereby demonstrate the qualities which sustain its global reputation.",
