Scope currently includes five residual waste sites; twenty Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRC); eight Transfer Loading Stations (TLS); the Bolton Thermal Recovery Facility (TRF); the Materials Recovery Facility(MRF); 3 Biowaste facilities; the obligation to produce Solid Recovered Fuel (SRF); and associated rail transport and supply to the Runcorn Thermal Power Station (TPS). In addition to the services, the scope will also include construction changes across a number of sites and facilities. GMWDA is approaching the market with three separate Lots: Lot One: Waste and Resource Management Services; Lot Two: Household Waste Recycling Centre Management Services; and Lot Three: Biowaste Management Services.
