Syndication of this Programme Metadata to external third parties is not part of these requirements and will be undertaken according to the BBC's Distribution Framework and Guidelines with particular attention being paid to prominence, curation and attribution within 3rd party discovery portals. Audience facing Programme Metadata is the main conduit through which our audiences discover BBC content. It is imperative that the Programme Metadata presented to our audiences is clear, consistent, factual, accurate, complete and timely. Programme metadata must be created and curated so that it is suitable to be read by all audiences. Inaccurate, incomplete or missing Programme Metadata has a detrimental effect on our audiences experience and can put at risk the reputation of the BBC.
