The Authority have already completed the procurement of the masks and cylinders (previous project HF27106) and have now identified that the introduction of wired radio communications will significantly contribute to a more robust and resilient breathing apparatus radio communications connectivity. Additionally, there are requirements on the Authority as a Service to be compliant with the latest set of recommendations from the Grenfell Tower Inquiry phase 2 report, referencing radio communications on the fireground and in BA operations. This project will ensure our compliance with these requirements.",
