The Council's contractors (Ringway) carry out maintenance on the majority of the verges in the County; however some areas are maintained by third parties. In addition to standard verge regime there are a number of Roadside Verge Nature Reserves (RVNR) which are treated individually in respect of their requirements to suit the flora and fauna that they were designated for.
