Through the Dewsbury Town Investment Plan work has progressed to acquire properties in the Daisy Hill area - as part of the Dewsbury Long-term Plan the Council wish to build on this work to develop a plan of action for the town centre. This will include consideration of options to enable town centre living, and address vacant premises. The Dewsbury Long-term Plan will be a community-driven 10-year vision to transform the town. It is currently under development and must be submitted to DLUHC by 1st August 2024 - this work is required to feed into the Long-term Plan and therefore early outputs from the work will be required in late June and early July.",
