KEY OBJECTIVES By the end of the day we will have looked at each of the following aspects of teaching and learning in history: * The current context - History in primary schools * How to meet the challenge of the new Ofsted framework and its implications for history in primary schools * The constituent parts of a great history curriculum from the EYFS to Year 6, including: o What pupils should be able to know, do and understand in history by the end of each key stage o What does secondary ready look like. * How do we develop great writing in history? * The characteristics of highly effective teaching and learning - how can we be creative and how do we inspire? * How to be a highly effective subject leader - some timely prompts * How do we ensure inspiring history in a time of change? An additional outcome: To introduce a new Network for Primary History.",
