Bidders must hold a valid and current DVSA certificate and the testing facilities must be situated no further than five (5) miles from the Borough boundary. The Council intend to issue contracts for testing and inspection to two separate contractors. This is to offer flexibility to the vehicle owners and help ensure service standards remain competitive. The initial contract period will be two years with the option to extend by up to a further 12 months at the sole discretion of the Council (a contract term of 2+1).
