It is crucial that Immigration Enforcement (IE) training mirrors the technologically advanced working practices in the law enforcement community at large. This includes digital recording equipment for the purpose of interviewing. The Authority requires an upgrade for the provision of eight (8) individual pieces of digital recording equipment. This is to ensure that the training model provided by IE and crime training is reflective of the most state of the art methodology in law enforcement. Currently, the Authority only have analogue, tape recording devices which are no longer state of the art. The digital recording equipment will ensure compliance with the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984 (PACE, code E). Additional information: Potential Providers must first be registered on the Crown Commercial Service e-Sourcing Suite. If you have not yet registered on the eSourcing Suite, this can be done online at https://gpsesourcing.cabinetoffice.gov.uk by following the link 'Register for CCS eSourcing'. Please note that, to register, you must have a valid DUNS number (as provided by Dun and Bradstreet) for the organisation which you are registering, who will be entering into a contract if invited to do so at the Invitation to Tender stage. This is done by emailing: ExpressionOfInterest@crowncommercial.gov.uk Your email must clearly state: * the name of this procurement - CCIH16B60 - Provision of Digital Recording Equipment * the name of the registered supplier; and * the name and contact details for the registered individual sending the email. Crown Commercial Service will then process this email and assign your organisation to the opportunity. The registered user will receive a notification email to alert them once this has been done. The Invitation to Tender will be issued by close of play on Thursday 27th November 2016 and therefore suppliers can register on the e-Sourcing Suite between the issue date of this Contracts Finder advert and the deadline for submission of a Tender which is 12 Noon on Thursday 10th November 2016.
