It is not considered practical or economic to source fuel separately from undertaking the air drop that is required in 2020/2021 for this exercise. ALCI have an arrangement to carry fuel on the Russian Antarctic Programme's icebreaker from Cape Town to their operating hub at Novo Blue Ice runway. This route would not be open if fuel were procured from another supplier.",
