Its work at the Buxton labs range from large calibre ballistics (internal and external) to full-scale blast effects. Imaging of explosive fireballs and resulting structural events requires the highest possible frame rates. To allow internal diagnostics to be obtained for material surrounding an explosive charge (e.g. soil or fabric) a 4-channel flash X-ray is required.
