Brief Description of Requirement The UK Astronomy Technology Centre requires an upgrade to the current Co-ordinate measuring facilities to add CNC capability. This will be used to measure dimensions and geometric properties of manufacture parts and assemblies. Control software will be provided to generate control code from 3D CAD models (Autodesk Inventor) and visualise the probe path. The control software will enable the measurement of dimensions and geometric relationships between features of the workpiece. A workstation will be provided to run the control software and any interfacing electronics and cabling required. Microsoft OS is preferred. This contract will be awarded based on the evaluation criteria set out in the ITQ document.
