Like all academic members of staff, unless explicitly specified to the contrary, professors are expected to do research and teaching. Pro-Vice-Chancellors Are Members of the University's Executive Team. The allocation of specific responsibilities and projects within this team is determined by the Vice-Chancellor from time to time. Through membership of the team PVCs take on a corporate responsibility and help develop and implement University strategy and policies. Faculty PVCs Provide leadership on all aspects of the management of the Faculty ensuring the University achieves its mission to deliver teaching, research and engagement in the particular subject area (Humanities & Social Sciences, Science, Agriculture & Engineering and Medical Sciences) and contribute to its strategic position as civic university nationally and internationally",
