During the Covid-19 Lockdown in March/April 2020 the Council used the sports facility to run the operation of the Food Distribution Hub which prepared and distributed over 1 Million food parcels to vulnerable citizens across the city. As a result of running the Food Distribution Hub from the premises for a six-month period, the Sports Hall flooring surface has been damaged generating the requirement for a contractor that has the experience and expertise to replace this particular type of flooring.",
