The aim of the Wellbeing Automated Call Service (WACS) is to reduce the requirement for the Welfare Support Team (tier 2) in HCC to make thousands of calls to individuals who have registered on the government website as extremely vulnerable and requiring support. In addition, the WACS project aims to contact those people who have been listed on the NHS Shielding List and whom HCC does not have an email or mobile number for, meaning mass communication is not possible.",
