        "description": "University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust wish to refurbish and refit their laundry operation located at St Richard's Hospital in Chichester to be fully compliant with HTM 01-04 and BS EN 14065. The laundry is currently processing circa 100,000 pieces per week on a single shift over 5 days. The refurbished operation must be capable of producing 100,000+ pieces in a 35-hour shift in a productive and energy efficient manner. This operation will then expand to 200,000+ pieces capacity over 2 shifts. The target maximum pieces for this unit over 2 shifts is 225,000 pieces. This tender will be a turnkey project with the main contractor being responsible for all machinery supply, mechanical and electrical services upgrades and all building work to provide a complete operational and efficient laundry. The successful tender will be spread over 2 financial years (including the current financial year) and will generally be in 2 phases to match capital allocation.
