This will be used to back up Oracle data and physical Windows and Unix systems. Primary backups will be on site with mirroring to an off-site location. We anticipate that we have the majority of the Netbackup licenses that we need along with four existing Data Domains (2x DD565 and 2x DD660). These will be updated and reconfigured as mirrored pairs to provide on-site and off-site backup storage. Two new DD2200 units have been procured to provide extra capacity and headroom for the reconfiguration. Objective To help produce the detailed design and implementation plan and to help with the implementation, including knowledge transfer to the backup team. We run a secure system at HMG security classification Official (sensitive) and the appropriate levels of protection will need to be built into the system. For a Supplier to provide UK SBS ISS with: * A detailed design for an on premise backup solution, with secondary mirror site (separate location) that can handle official sensitive data, and is compatible with Netapp and EMC technologies * Implementation plan for the above Resource to implement the above Additional information: As part of the strategic alliance between UK Shared Business Services Ltd (UK SBS) and Crown Commercial Service (CCS), UK SBS can use the CCS eSourcing Suite for future procurements.
