Vasectomy Services were reviewed against ENHCCGs prioritisation framework and a decision was made to continue to offer full access to these services, for all men registered with a GP in East and North Hertfordshire, under a local tariff. Vasectomy was previously jointly procured with Herts Valleys Clinical Commissioning Group (HVCCG). Following the end of the current Vasectomy contracts in December 2017 ENHCCG will continue as sole commissioner for these services. The East and North Hertfordshire area has a population of 592,826 (March 2017) registered at 58 GP practices. The service will support the contracting authority aim to ensure that care is provided in the right place, at the right time and by the right healthcare professional. As such it is the intention of the CCG to ensure that a service is delivered from multiple sites across the six localities within East and North Hertfordshire. The six localities within East and North Hertfordshire are detailed below 1. Lower Lea Valley Locality Group 2. North Herts Locality Group 3. Stevenage Locality Group 4. Stort Valley and Villages Locality Group 5. Upper Lea Valley Locality Group 6. Welwyn Hatfield Locality Group The estimated Total contract value excluding VAT is PS375,310 over 36 months. The contract duration term is 36 months plus an option to extend for an additional 24 months (maximum of a 5 year contract).The total contract value for 60 months is estimated at PS608,850. To support the Procurement process ENHCCG plans to hold a pre-procurement 'Market Awareness Provider Event' on 22nd August 2017 at: Central Library, Campus West, Welwyn Garden City AL8 6AJ from 18:30 - 19:30 The purpose of the event will be to discuss ENHCCG's intentions and to use the knowledge of the market to help inform elements of the service specification.
