The service is for carers in order to give them a break from caring on a regular basis. This has been offered by allowing the carers to go out by providing a \"sitter\" for their cared for person or for the \"cared for\" person to be taken out. The current contracts end on the 31st March 2018 and the proposal is to procure a new Carers Sitting Service through an open tendering process and have the service in place to start on the 1st April 2018. The new contract is for 3 years with an option to extend for a further 2 years.",
