        "description": "Tenders are invited for the provision of an Approved Mental Health Professional Service (out of hours). The Authority is currently unable to consistently meet its statutory requirement to provide an Approved Mental Health Professional Service itself outside of office hours, and so the service is currently delivered through Derby City Careline with the support of Derbyshire County Council who provide the AMHP service on our behalf. The future intention is to provide this out of hours service through a contract with a third party service provider when the current agreement with Derbyshire County Council ends on 31st October 2018. Mental Health Services in Derby City are provided in partnership with a number of other organisations in relation to the use of the Mental Health Act. Our key partner agencies in this regard are Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, Derbyshire Police, and East Midlands Ambulance Service and Southern Derbyshire Clinical Commissioning Group The contract is expected to commence 1st November 2018 and end 31st October 2020. There will be the option to extend for 36 months in annual increments. Additional information: The tender process for this is being managed electronically.
