The focus will be to raise standards and knowledge in staff and pupils in areas such as food growing, nutrition, food safety, shopping, growing food and understanding of where food comes from and the link with environmental sustainability. By making healthy food the norm the service will increase healthy eating behaviours; improve school meals and uptake as well as impacting positively on health and well-being; contributing to better educational attainment and attendance of children and leading to lasting health benefits.
