        "description": "West Midlands Association of Directors of Public Health (WMADPH) conducted work in 2019/20 to look at equality, diversity and inclusion in the specialist public health workforce in local authorities across the West Midlands. This work identified a need from specialist public health staff for training to support them in deeper understanding of diverse communities in the region. This was echoed in the recent Birmingham and Lewisham African and Caribbean Health Inequalities review which highlighted the need for culturally specific training. The WM ADPH is seeking to commission activity in five lots to explore different approaches to meeting this training needs across the region.
