The aim for the former Sunday School is to convert it to a high standard as a reference for other future historic building work in the town. This will retain and repair original building fabric, enhance the character of the Conservation Area and bring a previously vacant building back in to use. Completed tenders should be returned by email to info@staustell-tc.gov.uk by 12.00noon on the 3rd November 2021. The Townscape Heritage scheme finishes on 30th June 2022. Two tenders are requested. The first to complete works by 30th June 2022. The second, if completion by 30th June 2022 is not possible, is to complete the works at the earliest opportunity after 30th June 2022. It is expected that the successful tenderer enters in to a JCT Minor Works Building contract or equivalent with the building owner who will be the client for the works. The building owner will be applying separately for a Townscape Heritage scheme grant for the works. Submitted quotations will be evaluated in terms of both price and quality with a weighting of 70% price and 30% quality. The full evaluation breakdown is as follows: * Price: 70% * Experience of work on historic buildings: 20% * Ability to complete the work within specified deadline: 10% Details and examples of other work on historic buildings should be provided along with a draft programme for the works.
