Cumbria County Council wishes to commission a Supplier to support the development of micro-enterprises - small scale, flexible, responsive, high quality local services and supports that enhance market capacity and give people real choice and control over their care and support in a designated area of Cumbria. The area for development is primarily that of the Keswick and Solway Integrated Care Community. The Supplier will be tasked with the development and implementation of a work plan to address the issues stated in the service specification, through small scale, local solutions which will attract a wider workforce into the sector and support people to stay at home in their communities with either regulated or non-regulated support. The role of the Supplier is to facilitate and support the development of local innovation and development, bringing knowledge and expertise in the field of micro-enterprise development from similar rural local authority areas. No direct service delivery to people is required from the Supplier. The duration of the project is two years.
