"description": "Health Education England (HEE) supports the delivery of excellent healthcare and health improvement to the patient and public of England by ensuring that the workforce of today and tomorrow has the right number of skills, values and behaviours, at the right time and in the right place. The CEPIP programme delivers a GPhC-accredited Pharmacist Independent Prescribing module (IP), blended with enhanced clinical content including clinical health assessment and diagnostics. CEPIP offers the 'hands on' training opportunities to produce the pharmacist of the future - a practitioner with advanced skills to confidently and competently manage patients with health assessment, diagnostic and clinical examination skills comparable with that of an Advanced Clinical Practitioner. Key objectives: * Deliver a level 7 accredited, regulator approved, clinically enhanced independent prescriber training programme, for pharmacists in NHS Acute and Mental Health Hospitals, including those employed in community pharmacy and undertaking HEE recognised cross-sector Foundation Pharmacist training programmes. * Provide a strategy to improve discharge times by supporting development of multi-skilled clinicians, capable of undertaking clinical duties, while also using their specific skills as independent prescriber pharmacists to provide a service which may otherwise be undertake by junior doctors. * Address an identified need for drug therapy/management in emergency and acute care, from point-of-admission to point-of-discharge. * Demonstrate appropriate use of the workforce to conduct clinical work and developing the multi-skilled clinical teams, resulting in positive impact on patient safety, patient experience and throughput. The contract value will be a maximum envelope of PS1,560,000 (inclusive of VAT) for three years. This Prior Information Notice (PIN) is to advise prospective providers of the Commissioners intention. A market engagement event will be held on Wednesday 1st November 2017: 09:30 for a 10:00 start, running to 12:30 at De Vere Holborn Bars 138-142 Holborn, London, Greater London, United Kingdom, EC1N 2SW. This will provide an opportunity for potential providers to find out more about the aims of the tender and contract, the process involved as well as network with others. HEE will use the opportunity to gather intelligence from providers which may influence the final tender. Please RSVP by Friday 27 October 2017 with the name, title, email address and telephone number for attendees (a maximum of two attendees per organisation) to: jaime.wright@hee.nhs.uk The commissioner reserves the right not to proceed with the Procurement, or any part thereof, or change the requirements and timescales as necessary at any time. Additional information: It is the intention of the commissioner that the procurement will be conducted as on OJEU Service Contract using an Open Procedure under the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. The ITT is expected to be published in November 2017. A separate advert will be released advising when the procurement is live for submissions.",
