HCCG would like to invite providers with an appropriate level of capability and capacity to express their interest in an opportunity to deliver a high quality, patient centred Ophthalmology service on behalf of HCCG. The overarching aim of the service is to provide high quality, Ophthalmic care in the community to the to the patients registered with Hounslow GPs. The service will; * Deliver improved access for patients to specialist ophthalmology services; * Provide care closer to people's homes, in a community environment; * Deliver high quality specialist services that support patients to receive the right care first time; * Support the education and up-skilling of referrers, to provide better ophthalmic diagnosis and condition management in primary care; and * Offer a better value service for the NHS through more efficient use of resources. HCCG is inviting interested parties to express an interest in the future provision of these services. HCCG would like to gain input and feedback to inform the development of the service further. A draft service specification is attached to this notice and available to download for you to review, and an engagement questionnaire has been developed to capture input from interested providers. HCCG's annual report is also attached to provide potential bidders with further context. The contract value in relation to the above services is expected to total between PS2,900,000 - 3,600,000 over the full potential 5 year contract term HCCG intends to award a 3 year contract with the option to extend for a further 2 years at HCCG's discretion. Should HCCG decide to undertake a formal procurement process, this is anticipated to commence in August 2016 and the expected date for full service commencement would be 1st March 2017. The responses to this Market Engagement invitation will inform HCCG's assessment as to whether to competitively tender this contract or not and how such a process may need to be designed.
