        "description": "The Industrial Fuel Switching competition aims to stimulate early investment in fuel switching processes and technologies, so that a range of technologies are available by 2030 and beyond. Fuel Switching was highlighted in the CGS as being necessary in order for industry to decarbonise at the required rate. The Competition has been split into three phases; Phase 1 (PS200k) market engagement and assessment; Phase 2 (PS2m) feasibility studies; and Phase 3 (up to PS17.8m) demonstration. This procurement is for Phase 3 only. Phase 3, Demonstration Projects may be funded up to a total of PS7.5m per project, drawing from a fund of PS17.8m set aside for this Phase. Phase 3 is open to projects that have successfully emerged from Phase 2 but is also open to applicants who are new to the competition and are prepared to undertake a demonstration project because they have already completed equivalent feasibility work.
