"description": "The University of Manchester plans to purchase an Atmospheric Controlled Precision Multi-material drop on demand Ink-jet Printer adapted for medical research applications. The proposed equipment will be used for the development of functional devices for medical research. Projects will include 2D deposition of: biologically relevant materials onto a variety of substrates, living cells, sensor structures; and 3D printing of: scaffolds for cell attachment, structures for implantation into animal models, bioreactors. In order to achieve these objectives we require the capability to achieve the following requirements, either in isolation or in some combinations: a sterile environment, ability to control the relative humidity, ability to provide moisture free and oxygen free environments, be capable of providing a GLP (good laboratory practice) environment for medical device fabrication. Additional information: To express an interest in this project please visit the website below where you will need to register to obtain tender documentation. https://in-tendhost.co.uk/universityofmanchester/aspx/Home Delivery Notes The University of Manchester will be home to a new national research and innovation centre in advanced materials, the Sir Henry Royce Institute (SHRI).
