"title": "MOPAC Mentoring for Young Adults on Probation - Market Warming Event",
"description": "Launching in Summer 2021, the Transitions to Adulthood Hub will be a holistic, trauma-informed service for 18-25 year olds on probation and 17 year olds transitioning from the Youth Offending Service to adult probation in Newham. The Hub will provide wrap-around support tailored to young adults' distinct needs and informed by maturity assessments. The aim of the pilot is to reduce reoffending, improve mental health and support young adults to make positive life choices. By building trusted relationships with young adults and supporting them to access other Hub services, mentors will play a crucial role in ensuring young adults get the right support and will be fundamental to the pilot's success. MOPAC is exploring commissioning a number of different providers to meet the needs of different groups of young adults accessing the hub, e.g. Black young adults, Muslim young adults, young women and young adults in custody. This market warming event will shape our commissioning approach and provide an opportunity for potential providers and stakeholders to comment on the service and ask any questions about the upcoming procurement. The event is taking place on Wednesday 17 March at 11.30-1. Please get in touch with Roisin Briody, Transitions Hub Manager, to attend the event.",
