Historic England and the Friends of the Flaxmill Maltings (the Friends) are looking to deliver a pioneering and innovative visitor experience at SFM that will provide a destination for local communities, regional communities and tourists to experience, celebrate and learn about this unique and internationally significant heritage site. In order to achieve this ambition, Historic England and the Friends need to understand the market in Shrewsbury, Shropshire and the surrounding area, in order to develop a memorable visitor experience and deliver a financially viable operational plan for the future of SFM. The work of the consultant will form the basis for the creative design and development and delivery of the future interpretation scheme for the visitor experience.",
