As planned, the number of children placed in external supported accommodation has reduced . This is a result of expansion of our in-house supported accommodation service, Starting Point and also the opening of our Staying Close unit, Elm House. There is also a commissioned supported accommodation service for under 25s which provides group accommodation or floating support for young people aged 16+. Starting Point, Elm House and the Under 25s commissioned service are always considered first before a placement with an external provider is sought. A strict approval process is in place dependant on level of support and demand.",
