The review will identify and quantify issues relating to the way applications are handled by the panels from pre-application involvement and delegation arrangements, through to their performance and the quality of decision-making, as well as exploring the perceptions of customers and stakeholders and their interaction with the panels. A project output will be a report which will outline recommendations on how procedures might be improved and streamlined as well as highlighting examples of good practice both within the panels and from other authorities.",
