Supporting the Programme Manager to ensure milestones and deliverables are set out within a project plan and ensuring successful delivery of it to the required quality and to the timescales agreed within the project plan - Managing a single, agreed approach to project delivery as defined in core project documentation, ensuring best practice is identified, recorded and utilised across the Project. Where this is not defined, ensuring this is done. - Identify, monitor and manage project risks and issues. Develop mitigating strategies and escalate as appropriate. Identify and work with related projects to manage interdependencies. - Maintain and deliver against other project controls (including planning, assumptions, decisions, change control and configuration management) - Ensure the required Project reporting is completed through the various Defra governance structures in an agreed timely manner. - Ensure that the key assurance bodies are appropriately involved, and that the agreed deliverables from the Integrated Assurance and Approvals plan are met through the life cycle of the Project. - Ensure all necessary Business Change activities are defined, agreed and implemented in accordance with the project plan, utilising business change expertise and resources from within the programme.
