This programme will deliver basic numeracy skills for those aged 19 years and over who do not hold a formal maths qualification. The Council already has a contract for the delivery of Community Advice which includes debt management. This contract is mainly funded by the Department for Communities. The contract provider, Community Advice Ards and North Down (CAAND) provide debt advice and are perfectly placed within the community to deliver additional courses themed around maths support with the learning outcome being managing debt. Therefore, the Council intends to modify this contract and ask CAAND to deliver this programme.
