A new national contract will act as the focal point for the statutory maintenance, inspection, testing and certification of equipment. This will ensure SPS continues to meet statutory compliance obligations in addition to the efficient and safe operation of the equipment to be maintained. The contract will cover all 16 SPS sites: 13 directly managed prisons, a college (SPSC), central stores and an administrative headquarters at Calton House to support the operations of the prisons.
