The port infrastructure is comprised of either linkspans or slipways and is mostly protected by small harbors/piers and alignment structures. The concrete slipways at the ports are at a gradient of 1:8. Consideration shall be given to the port infrastructure in both Oban and Lismore. The existing ramps act as an anchor on the port infrastructure. To achieve this, the vessel's propulsion system is kept running to keep the vessel centered on the port infrastructure.
