The key functions of ALDIS are: * To allow Light Dues certificates to be issued by the 'Collectors', usually shipping agents affiliated to the Institute of Chartered Ship Brokers and appointed as Light Dues Collectors, and * To record port record arrival data to verify the movement of vessels arriving to UK & RoI ports and their liability to pay Light Dues. The ALDIS software (code and IPR) is owned by the General Lighthouse Authorities (GLAs) and funded from the General Lighthouse Fund (GLF).",
