The conditions on this funding award stipulates that the award funding must be spent by 31st March 2023. As this spend is above threshold and is to be awarded via a direct award the University has issued a VEAT Notice to the marketplace in August 2022 to ensure transparency on this expenditure. If the University waited until November timeframe to do the VEAT notice they could not place the Order for this equipment until the standstill period associated with the VEAT regulations had expired.
