Under Regulation 72 (b) A change of contractor cannot be made due to the fact that the Paul Hogarth Company Ltd have secured the main commission for this work and it would not represent value for money to secure the services of an alternative contractor due to the potential inconvenience and substantial duplication of costs such engagement would create. The additional contract variation of PS81,157 will increase the total contract to PS405,977.36 and is within the 50% rule under Regulation 72."
