Perkins Engines Company Limited is the original equipment manufacturer and proprietary owner of the design for the specified spare/replacement parts and therefore has access to the related design, information and technical specifications/data/knowledge. These design drawings and technical specifications have not been made available to any other supplier. Without access to such design drawings and technical specifications another supplier would not be able to ensure that the original equipment manufacturer specifications/standards are met and therefore to ensure that the safety and suitability of the overall platforms is not compromised. As a result, Perkins Engines Company Limited is the only supplier able to undertake the scope of this requirement at this time. This notice is not a request for expressions of interest, so please do not apply to be invited to tender. This notice advises that Babcock Land Defence Limited, acting as agent to the UK Ministry of Defence, intends to negotiate a single source contract with the named supplier, and this notice is published for reasons of transparency only.",
