The additional funding is for delivery of the Drugs and Alcohol Care Team (DACT) for 4.5 years, commencing from 1st April 2024 until 30th September 2028 (PS112,266 pa plus Inflationary uplift). The service will to provide a specialist nursing service for patients admitted to Nottingham University Hospital who have alcohol and/or drug dependency. Time limited funding became available from the Integrated Care Board towards this provision and it was determined that the DACT service is an in-scope relevant health contract under the PSR regulations. The service is not materially different in character to the recently procured Community Recovery and Treatment for Adults who use Alcohol contract, therefore a decision was made to add the DACT Service to this contract.
