The CCS framework used to enable award of the CDMT work lapsed and was replaced by RM6100 Technology Services CCS Framework, with Operational Services - Application and Data Management sitting in Lot 3d. CACI Ltd are on the framework in their own right and Lot 3d offers the ability to undertake a direct award where, among other justifications 'Direct award will be suitable to meet a range of customer needs - for example, simple and easily defined requirements where no additional benefit would be derived from a further competition.' The award process is facilitated through a catalogue offering, which CACI Ltd has agreed to create at a firm price, in the GeM catalogue. Given the work already undertaken to develop the CDMT and the new functionality will be an extension to the existing tool and will re-use that system architecture, a direct award is justified."
