The orthotics service at Somerset Foundation Trust is part of the Clinical Support Directorate. It is managed by the Orthotics Service Manager and Administration Manager. We have Allied Health Professionals (AHP's), Occupational Therapists, an Orthotist, a Clinical Orthotics Technician, an Apprentice Orthotist and two administrators. The emphasis is on \"self-help\" where possible, aiming to keep patients out of medically prescribed footwear and orthotic devices. We want to work in partnership with contractors who share our aims for a first class, patient centred and cost effective service. We expect contractor/s who work with us to provide orthotic devices of the highest quality and who share our core trust values.
