Having completed pre-market engagement, we are considering both a configurable platform or a finished commercial off-the-shelf product. The Contract Term will be for an initial 5-year period with the option to extend for up to a further 10 years subject to the agreement of both parties. The option to extend the contract will be solely at Ofsted's discretion and will be subject to satisfactory supplier performance, government approval and availability of funding. Potential Suppliers should not make any assumption that Ofsted will exercise its discretion to extend the contract for any specific period (for example, for 5 years at a time) or at all. The 5-year contract period will include an initial \"partnering\" phase followed by a design phase, which will both be used to determine whether Ofsted wishes to continue with the remaining term of the contract or activate a pause or contract break. Should Ofsted wish to continue beyond these initial phases, a subsequent build, configuration and implementation phase will precede the commencement of the live service.
