The existing asset has been used in the past to investigate the use of Flash Sintering of ceramic tiles is used as a laboratory/research platform for the ceramic tile sector and as such the final design should not compromise the asset's current capabilities, which are; 11700C peak operating temperature, product setting volume to be unchanged The existing asset was recommissioned in January 2023 after several years of being offline. It has a fully integrated SCADA control system that manages the kiln automation and combustion control current operation.
