To ensure safe, efficient operation data connectivity is required. Due to the remote locations, satellite data services are required. Currently services are provided through a VSAT connection, however with the evolution of service options (i.e. Low Earth Orbit (LEO) connections) BAS is looking at options for future services including VSAT/LEO/Bandwidth Management and WAN integration and proposals for alternative options. Additional information: A remote industry engagement event via Zoom, is to be held on 20th October at 10am - 12pm to set out our requirements, indicative timetable and to encourage input from industry as to likely options and solutions and potential costs.
